TVI Noticias reported that officials announced Thursday they had arrested a suspect charged in the stabbing. Investigators have ruled out robbery as a motive for the attack, as well as any connection to a hate crime. After identifying the group involved, investigators have only charged one suspect; the suspect is a 23-year-old Portuguese man with no prior criminal record who reportedly worked at a nearby bar. Authorities stated that they are continuing to gather evidence as the investigation progresses.
