Rory McIlroy returns to action this week at the DP World Tour’s Hero Indian Open, LIVE on Sky Sports, following Team Europe’s historic Ryder Cup success. McIlroy headlines a strong field at the co-sanctioned event between the DP World Tour and the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI). He aims to add another victory to his impressive resume after Europe’s dominant Ryder Cup performance, where they triumphed 16.5-11.5 over the USA.

The Hero Indian Open marks a significant stop on the DP World Tour schedule.

The field features American Michael Kim, alongside former Ryder Cup players like Nicolas Colsaerts, Rafa Cabrera Bello, and Edoardo Molinari.

Sky Sports will provide comprehensive coverage, including accessible video highlights, interviews with players like Iona Stephen and Paul McGinley, and analysis of the Race to Dubai standings. Delhi Golf Club hosts this week’s event, with the winner receiving 835 Race to Dubai ranking points. The champion will also be presented with a trophy featuring symbols of India – the Mahal and the Lotus Flower.

This event marks the ‘penultimate’ event for the DP World Tour season. Following this week, players will be looking to secure their DP World Tour cards for another year at next week’s Genesis Championship in South Korea. After these two events, the top 70 players will qualify for the DP World Tour Championship.

Tune in to Sky Sports Golf for extensive live coverage of all four rounds of the DP World Tour Championship. Live coverage begins at 7:30 AM on Thursday for round one, and round two on Friday. Sky Sports will also be showing the BMW Ladies Championship and the St Andrews Links Collegiate – a university golf event held at the Old Course in St Andrews from Monday to Wednesday.
