The Office was full of cringe-worthy moments. Costars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey revisited one such moment, involving Steve Carell’s Michael Scott and Kate Flannery’s Meredith Palmer sharing a lollipop, on a recent episode of their podcast, Office Ladies. This came up after a listener inquired if it actually happened. “Guys, I was thinking the same thing,” Fischer said. “When I watched this scene, there was no cut. It was a one-shot where Steve took the lollipop out of his mouth and handed it to Kate. So I asked Kate and she said she did not wash it off.” Eww! But it seems like brand image for both Meredith and Michael. In that specific episode, in the second of the two parts of the season 4 premiere, Meredith visited Michael in his hospital room as he was being treated for dehydration. Of course, she showed up completely inappropriately for Michael Scott’s Dunder Mifflin Scranton Meredith Palmer Memorial Celebrity Rabies Awareness Fun Run Pro Am Race for the Cure, a ridiculously named event he organized for her after he hit Meredith with his car. Kate was like, ‘Should I do this?’ Fantastic finish. Great, Kate. What a way to be on the show.” Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey host ‘The Office Ladies’ podcast. Kinsey called her “brave.” Carell and Flannery both worked at a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania, that debuted in 2005. Along with Fischer, Kinsey, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson, Mindy Kaling and more, they became regulars on the show as it became a hit, and Palmer remained with the future streaming phenomenon, with Wilson commenting on more awkward moments of the show until the end of September 31. 3, episode 10, “A Benihana Christmas,” Wilson said, “This show is based on ignorant, insensitive, racist and sexist people.” Listen to Fischer and Kinsey’s full conversation about the lollipop above.
