You can now listen to Fox News articles! The Minnesota Vikings have condemned the racist messages directed at defensive back Isaiah Rodgers following the team’s 28-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. Rodgers posted the messages he received from social media users. Many of the messages he received contained racial slurs.

The team released a statement about the incident on Monday. “We are disgusted by the racist remarks directed at Isaiah Rodgers after yesterday’s game,” the team said.
They added: “As we have said before, there is no place for racist words or actions in sport or society. We stand with Isaiah and all players who, unfortunately, are subjected to such ignorant and often biased behavior, and we urge our fans to continue the fight to eliminate racism.”

A former NFL referee believes Christian McCaffrey’s play against the Falcons should not have been called, and Rodgers added that the messages were not the worst he had seen.
“Racism is real,” he wrote. He joined the Vikings in the off-season.
