Meat-free brand THIS is urgently recalling its THIS Isn’t Chicken Deli Pieces over fears they may cause allergic reactions. The product was pulled from shelves because it contains soy and wheat (gluten), which are not declared on the label. According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), this means the product is a “possible health risk for anyone with a soy allergy and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten, or coeliac disease.” Consumers with a soy allergy and/or wheat or gluten allergy or intolerance, or coeliac disease are advised not to eat it. Instead, they should return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. The recall includes the 120g package with a best before date of 13 November 2025. In a statement, the brand said: “We are initiating a precautionary recall of a batch of our THIS Isn’t Chicken Pieces due to a mislabelling issue.” During production, a batch of THIS Isn’t Chicken Deli Pieces were mistakenly packaged with stock labels for our THIS Isn’t Cocktail Sausages.
