As soon as the night draws in, I immediately go searching for comforting and cozy recipes to help me through the cold, dark months. Over the years of testing my best air fryers, I’ve discovered some real gems like these Pumpkin Cheesecake Enchiladas, but the sweet treat that my boys and I are currently loving most are these air fryer S’mores. They taste like they’ve come straight from a campfire without the smoke or mess. And they only take about 10 minutes from start to finish. Being in the UK, I swapped out the traditional graham crackers for digestives. They’re denser but add buttery sweetness and caramel hints to treats that work really well. You might prefer it. They have everything I love about the original, but with more sophistication on the outside and effortlessly made, making it a great easy weekend dessert, movie night treat, or even a late-night sugar rush. I made these in my Ninja Foodi Max Air Fryer, but whether you use a compact model or a large basket, this recipe is quick and easy—perfect starting point if you’re interested in air fryer baking or just getting something beautiful.

  • Graham Crackers/Digestive Biscuits – two per s’more
  • Large Marshmallows – one per s’more
  • Chocolate – one square per s’more

This recipe is inspired by @femalefoodie, whose video version of this air fryer s’mores has amassed over 1 million views. Due to graham crackers not being readily available to buy in the UK, I have substituted digestive biscuits, but any sweet cracker or biscuit will do. Similarly, in my family, the bigger the marshmallow, the better, but these can be difficult to work with. Lastly, choose any chocolate you like. I love to use sea salt or orange flavored chocolate, but my boys prefer regular milk chocolate.

  1. Preheat the Fryer. Set the air fryer temperature to 400 F/200 C. Place four cookies in the basket. You don’t need to put these on parchment paper, but it will make removing the hot items easier.
  2. Melt the Chocolate (Image Credit: Victoria Wollaston). Place a square of chocolate on each cookie. Air fry for 1-2 minutes, or until the chocolate is soft and melted. Be careful to watch that the chocolate doesn’t burn.
  3. Toast the Marshmallows (Image Credit: Victoria Wollaston) Place one marshmallow on top of each melted chocolate chip cookie and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and puffy.
  4. Assemble and Serve (Image Credit: Victoria Wollaston) Carefully remove the s’mores from the air fryer. Place another digestive cookie on top, gently pressing it into a sandwich, and serve immediately while hot and gooey.

Tip: If you prefer these less messy and more fudgey, pop your snacks in the fridge for a minute or two before eating. The chocolate will harden slightly, providing a balance of crunch and melt.
