Calum: It has to be the worst disrespect in the history of Scottish football. When are the powers that be at Ibrox going to realise that Thelwell and Stewart should be removed immediately if they continue to be a shambles? Three potential agents have rejected us in a little over a week. Inconvenient and embarrassing.
Michael: Thelwell and Stewart want too much input on initial shots and that’s what seems to be the breakdown. Both need to go. If Andrew Cavenagh and Parag Marathe want to bring in Gerrard and Muscat – fine, they are the ‘boss’.
Isobel: The club knew about Muscat’s situation from the start, why were they so desperate to quickly get someone in? It was ignorance and staggering arrogance to have him at the top of the list in the first place for a second title. The entire management team, including the Americans, have dragged a proud club into this almighty continuing mess. It’s absolutely disrespectful and I really feel for all the players, rudderless, brainless, and left hanging to dry.
Neil: It’s clear that if the new manager wants to control recruitment, then Thelwell is going to be a problem. Time for the owners to step in and show that they can run a club.
Stuart: I took this club when my late Father took me back in the late 1970’s to my first game, travelled thousands around the UK and Europe to watch them and this is absolutely ‘simply the worst’ I have ever seen. Poor board selection, poor management and poor recruitment. Thelwell and Stewart will just keep lining their pockets whilst they play the whole game running what was once a proud team into the ground.
Sonny: Sack the board. Somehow the Americans have managed to turn the club into a supermarket from pre administration, which I thought was impossible. We are left in the game, with very few if any great candidates left. Embarrassing.
Bryan: What a shambles and how absolutely criminal those that are responsible are – blame must lie with Stewart and Thewell, who couldn’t even double up on a horse. Lurching from one neighbour’s embarrassment to another.
Alexander: The main problem seems to be Thelwell and Stewart. If these two are the cause, can we not just remove them from the whole deal. They are big enough to randomly run into each other. More of this utter rubbish is all the supporters are going to take, maybe sparking empty Ibroxes and non-renewing season ticket holders.
