Stockport County have climbed to the top of the Sky Bet League One table after securing their fourth consecutive win with a dominant performance against Port Vale. Nathan Lowe, Kyle Wootton, and Jack Diamond all found the net within a 16-minute spell in the first half, propelling County to the summit, two points clear of fourth place. Stockport almost added a fourth when Lowe, who had earlier only received a yellow card for an elbow on Marvin Johnson, hit the post again in the second period. Challinor: Stockport Not Getting Carried Away Stockport manager Dave Challinor refused to get carried away after seeing his side move to the top of the League One table. “There are some big games to be played, we’ve got Barnsley and Portsmouth to come, and other games in hand (Lincoln’s game against Bradford), so we’ll enjoy it for what it is in the season,” Challinor said. “If we do that we’ll be happy. “But we’re a fraction of the way through the season so there’s still a long way to go. It was brilliant for the supporters to be able to back us through the game. “And we’ll try and replicate that next Saturday in the FA Cup.” Port Vale boss Darren Moore: “The lads don’t reflect the true fact of where we are, in terms of it being together, everyone.
