Grammarly, the popular automated grammar checker used by students and professionals, is now being called Superhuman as the company announced a new rebrand focused not only on its core product but also on its entire line of agent-based artificial intelligence. In an October 29th blog post, the company announced that it is adding several new AI-powered offerings to support the work of its signature writing partner, including Universal Code Workspace and an AI-embedded inbox known as Superhuman Mail, which Grammarly acquired earlier this year. The tools are now available as part of a single Superhuman membership plan. Mashable Light Speed AI is certainly not new to online writing tools, which have built their brand on automated intelligent features, similar to other standard spell tools and grammar apps. During the recent AI boom, Grammarly made an early bet on conversational generative AI, including launching its own chatbot writing assistant, GrammarlyGo, in 2023. In August, the company announced eight new specialized AI agents that work within its own “AI-native writing surface” and provide specific writing assistance, citation checking, and code reviewing. But the recent rebrand indicates an even bigger goal for the company, including investing in what it calls more “proactive” AI that can predict actions before the user initiates them. In a second blog post, the company explained that its goal is to close the productivity gap between what AI promises users in the workplace and what it actually delivers. In the background, many experts believe that the growing bubble of artificial intelligence and the promise of AGI will soon burst. “Today, artificial intelligence seems like something we need to learn to control or control,” the company wrote. “We hope that AI will be so natural that it will feel natural to use; so embedded in your work that you will forget it exists.” Subject: Artificial Intelligence
